About
KAI Fitness is made by Davide Pergola and published under PRG Space, the studio that also puts out the other products. There is no team behind it: one person designs the app, writes the code, writes the pages of this site and answers the emails that arrive at info@prgspace.com.
Where it comes from
The app was born in 2021 out of a concrete annoyance: keeping count while you lift. Between one set and the next you have chalk on your hands and thirty seconds of rest, and that is not the moment to fill in a form. So the counting had to happen with the fewest taps possible, and the rest timer had to start on its own.
Everything else followed from there. Timed circuits came because the same person who lifts on Monday does HIIT on Thursday and does not want a second app for it. The history came because «am I actually getting stronger» is a question you can only answer with the numbers of the past weeks in front of you.
How it is built
- A feature goes in only if it earns its place. Less interface between you and the set you are about to do.
- It works with the phone in your pocket. A gym has bad signal and wet hands: what has to work during a workout works on the device, without waiting for anything.
- Data at a minimum. What is collected, and why, is written in the privacy policy — not summarised here in a friendlier way.
- Sixteen languages, translated properly. The app and the pages that matter are translated, not run through a machine. It is also the reason this page exists in two languages and not sixteen: better one honest page than fourteen approximate ones.
What KAI Fitness is not
It is a training tool, not a medical device, and it gives no medical advice. If you have a health condition, an injury, or you are coming back after a long break, talk to a doctor before starting a new programme. Nothing the app shows you replaces that conversation.
It is not a coach either: it does not decide what you should do. It keeps the count, the time and the history of what you actually did — the training plan is yours, or your trainer's.
Getting in touch
The support page answers the ten questions that come up most, in full: price, devices, subscription, how to cancel it. If your question is not there, the address at the bottom of that page reaches a person — not a form.
