If something is off, it gets sorted.

The ten questions we get most, answered in full. Below them are the app’s documents and the address to write to: a person answers, not a form.

Frequently asked

What people ask us most

Tap a question to open it. If yours is not here, the address to write to is at the bottom of this page.

1How much does it cost?

The base version is free and does not expire: it is not a trial that shuts off after two weeks. It has both ways of training, the whole exercise catalogue, three workouts you build yourself in the gym and three timed ones, the main techniques and the last seven sessions of history for every exercise.

PRO is a subscription and it removes the caps: unlimited workouts of your own, all techniques and set types, the full history exercise by exercise, and no ads. What you had in the base version stays: moving to PRO does not lose anything you have already logged.

2Which devices does it work on?

On iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later. On an earlier version the App Store will not install it: if your phone is still on iOS 17, the system update comes first.

The Android version is coming: when it is out, the Google Play button on this site becomes live. We do not give a date until it is a real date.

3Which languages is it in?

In 16 languages: English, Italian, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), French, German, Russian, Turkish, Hindi, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

There is nothing to set: the app follows your phone’s language. If it is one of these, you get it translated from the first launch; if it is not, it starts in English.

4What is the difference between “timed” and “in the gym”?

They are the two ways of training, and they differ in what the app has to keep in view while you work.

Timed is the circuit: a sequence of exercises with a work time and a rest time, repeated for a number of rounds. The clock leads, you follow.

In the gym there is no clock running: there are sets to close, each with its own reps and its own weight. You lead, and the app keeps count and does the maths.

The two tracks have a colour each — coral for time, blue for the gym — and they keep it throughout the app: that is the only thing to learn.

5Do I have to watch the screen during a circuit?

No, and that is why the timer is built the way it is. The transitions — end of work, start of rest, change of exercise — are signalled, so the phone can stay on the floor or on a bench.

If you do look, one screen has how long is left on this exercise, which one is next and where you are in the circuit: there is nothing to go hunting for.

6How does the rest timer work between sets?

It starts on its own the moment you tick the set off: you do not have to run a separate stopwatch or leave the screen you are working on. The count sits at the bottom while you keep seeing the sets you have left.

Rest is part of the workout, so you decide it when you build the workout and it can change from exercise to exercise.

7How is the estimated 1RM calculated?

With the Epley formula: weight × (1 + reps ÷ 30). From any set — say 10 reps at 14 kg — you get an estimate of your one-rep max, and from there the percentages already converted into kilos, which are the ones you actually need for warming up and for choosing the day’s load.

It is an estimate, not a measurement: the higher the reps of the set you start from, the further the number drifts from what you would really lift. It is there to orient you, not to pick a fight with the barbell.

8Can I build my own workouts?

Yes, and it is two different things depending on the track. For the gym you pick the exercises and, for each one, sets, reps and rest. For timed work you compose the circuit: work, rest, number of rounds and the pause between rounds.

While you compose it the total time updates on its own, so you know straight away whether it fits the half hour you have. The base version keeps three per type; with PRO they are unlimited.

9What gets logged, and where do I see it?

Every workout you finish goes into the history: a calendar with a dot for each session — in the colour of the track you took — and below it the recent workouts with their duration and the sets or rounds you closed.

There is also a history per exercise, with a chart of your top weight session after session: it is the quickest way to tell whether you are moving forward on that lift. The base version shows the last seven sessions per exercise, PRO shows all of them.

10How do I manage or cancel the PRO subscription?

Like any subscription bought on the App Store: from your Apple ID settings, under Subscriptions. From there you can change plan, stop the renewal or cancel.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: until that day PRO stays active. After it, the app goes back to the base version with everything you logged still in place.
